Fruity Green Tropical Smoothie
Yes….exactly the way it sounds. I know it sounds strange but believe me it taste great. It’s got that tropical flavor twist in it and guess what it absolutely healthy. I usually like to follow the Simple Smoothie Formula so this way I have a balance in my portions and to add that additional boost to it I add either protein powder or flaxseeds, but I don’t use it daily I alternate days since it can be heavy on the stomach.
This is a super simple recipe so if your crunched for time then you can always prepare ahead of time and keep it overnight and grab it in the morning and go or prepare the greens, liquids and fruits overnight and quickly give it a blend in the morning. Either way it’s going to be super delicious and super simple.
I think smoothies taste the greatest when drinking them cold. My suggestion would be to use frozen ripe fruits so if you have fruits that have ripened up…..don’t throw them away instead throw them into a freezer bag and freeze it. This includes ripe banana also just peel them and put them into a freezer safe bag and freeze it. Obviously fresh fruits is the best way to go …..but ripe frozen fruits are good also. Why waste !!
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
Serving Size: 2
Ingredients
- 2 cups Spinach
- 2 cups Almond Milk
- 2 cups Ripe mixed fruits (banana, strawberry, pineapple, peach and mango)
- 1 Ripe Red Pear – peeled, deseeded and chopped into smaller pieces
Instructions
Into the blender add Spinach and Almond milk and blend into a paste or until greens all blended together.
Now add the ripe frozen fruits, Red pear and blend together till you reach a smooth consistency if you choose to make it a bit more liquid consistency than add more cold water to your preference.
Pour into your desired glass and Enjoy!
Notes
If you have an allergy to any of the fruits, or not a big fan of bananas? You can substitute any fruit with another other fruit of you choice.
If you are not using frozen fruits then you can add in a hand full of ice or cold water.
If you want you can substitute the Almond Milk for Soy or Yogurt.
