Mango Banana Milkshake

Okay… So finally the Indian Mango season is here and we’re ready to totally indulge into the king of all Mangoes. One of the most popular mangoes from India are Alphonso Mangoes which are also called “Hapus” in Gujarat and Maharashtra. These mangoes are super sweet, rich in flavor and the taste is out of this world. It’s easy to see why. Alphonso’s voluptuous shape and sunshine-yellow skin reveals succulent saffron-colored flesh that’s smooth and buttery.



Slice AlphonsoThere are many types of different mangoes available now a days and they all have their own distinct taste. Alphonso and Kesar mangoes are the most popular mangoes  and their also very versatile that they can be used for shakes, smoothies, desserts, baking, savory dishes, candies, enjoying fresh mango puree or simply eating then when their ripe cut into small pieces.



This is my first blog on Alphonso Mangoes. So let me give you a little background on these delicious mangoes ….some of you may already be familiar to these mangoes and don’t need an introduction but if you’ve never heard of these mangoes then let me share some facts about “Alphonso Mango”. These mangoes are originated from India and are mostly grown in Maharashtra and some Gujarat States in India. It’s a  very popular fruit during the summer seasons …..many people may consume then for breakfast, lunch and dinner since the season is so short. They’ve become so popular that now a days you’ll find them available at restaurants being used to make deserts, smoothies, milkshakes, lassi and falooda.


When it comes to mangoes were not concerned about the calories or the nutrition factors…..were all about enjoying it while we can. So, here’s a simple milkshake recipe that I’ll share with you…..and keep following me for more great recipes on these awesome Mangoes.



Mango Banana Milkshake

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Category: Smoothies


  • 2 Mangoes peeled and sliced into small pieces
  • 1 ripe Banana
  • 5-6 piece of Raw Almonds
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (optional)
  • 2 cups of cold milk


  1. Into the blender add all above ingredients and blend till almonds are complete crushed and smooth consistency is reached.
  2. Adjust sweetness to your liking and if you choose to make it a bit more liquid consistency than add more cold milk to your preference.
  3. Pour into your desired glass and Enjoy!


Use any mango of your choice.

Sugar is optional depending on the ripeness of your mango/banana.

Almonds is optional if your allergic to nuts, but it does give it a rich flavor by adding.

Taste the best when served chilled.
